Maata did not play tonight for London. Anyone know why? injured, scratched, or maybe he left for WJC camp?
If you were the Pens GM and you have the 20th pick, and both Zadorov and Domi were available, which would you pick? Or would you go away from the Knights and look elsewhere?
Oh yeah, the reason that Harrington wasn't a 1st round pick was that he was one of the youngest players in that draft. In the next draft, he would have been a top-20 pick
Just to throw the question out there...
How do you guys think Harrington will play in the Pens system? We're seeing a great player like Morrow taking time to adjust. The system isn't built for everyone.
...or maybe just concede that whatever half-harebrained system they're attempting to run right now is a bit too much and move on to something a little more straightforward and easier to adapt to. You don't get points in the standings for being clever.

You don't get points in the standings for being clever. Though sometimes I think the Penguins might believe that you do.
If this lockout doesn't kill my enthusiasm for the game... trying to watch my favorite team run the trap like the Lightning do surely would. Remember that Philly/Bolts game last season where they all stood around for a few minutes and just sorta stared at each other? Obviously that isn't anything close to the norm... but it's an alarming enough outlier to give someone pause.
Does anybody know the severity of Maata'a injury? He didn't even dress-up for today's game.

Yeah, no.In my opinion, the Pens need to play a defensive system. It's easier to make Sid play defense than Martin play offense. Run a system like what the Lightning have, capitalize on turnovers and work from there. The 1-3-1 is probably the best system in the league. Imagine what it could do on a good team.
Yeah, no.
