Ironically not a single D man on the Red wings Roster could really be used as a trade chip. We have the worst D in the NHL.
Our best by far is Green, and hes a UFA (we are hoping for a late 1st round pick for him)

Value wise, sure. But I don't really see any reason to do this right now. Nylander is a luxury who is going to get 6M+ after this year more than likely. I'd rather see if Klefbom's struggles have been due to his injury and give him a chance to prove himself once he's off the IR. Way too early to give up on a young D like Klefbom who played phenomenal last year. We're also not in any position to be giving away top 4 Dmen unfortunately.

Hamilton for Nylander is a swap that has made sense for a while IMO. Both go to their hometowns, both fit huge needs for the other team, both are skilled and young.

If we had to trade Trouba, and the return was Nylander, I wouldn't lose any sleep. It doesn't help our defense AT ALL but he's a high value piece.

From the Kings, I would offer Muzzin and Villardi for Nylander. It would really hurt our defense, but perhaps LaDue can step it up and fill the void.
