Actually your opinion is really random, because that's exactly where the HoH ranked him among players younger than Mario, 10th.
It is a pretty big step down, then

You post the first and then expect us to take you seriously on the 2nd?Its Crosby. Hes solidifying himself as #5 all time and even challenging Gordie now.
69 points in his last 50 games, the best 34 YO PPG, looking like a world beater in the POs last year...
If youd even consider Mcdavid over Sid at this point of their careers youre a fool.

Yes, he still has years to go before matching Howes longevity. He is doing it right now when most people thought hed have a short career.Howe had 44 goals and 103 points in 76 games at age 40 in a scoring environment similar to a few seasons ago. He trailed only 26 year old Phil Esposito and 30 year old Bobby Hull in scoring. He finished directly ahead of 28 year old Stan Mikita.
Crosby still has a long way to go to challenge Howe’s spot and Lemieux is the first one to fall, if that were to ever happen.
By the end of McDavid’s career, if healthy, there’s no question he’ll remold the Big Four into a Fab Five or whatever name people dub it.

1.38 > 1.35Gordie Howe was 3rd in NHL scoring with 103 points in 76 GP at age 40.
EDIT: Damn it, already said 2 posts above but bears repeating.
In what way?Its Crosby. Hes solidifying himself as #5 all time and even challenging Gordie now.

Crosby has 6 PPG top 1 to 7 for Howe, its not a huge difference.Gordie Howe's 6 Hart Trophies and 6 Art Ross Trophies means Crosby will never catch him. 12 times top 3 in Hart voting vs 7.
Howe's offensive peak is only bested by Gretzky and (briefly) Lemieux. He combined this with the best defensive play of any elite offensive winger and the best elite longevity in the sport's history.
Howe and Crosby have very similar offensive peaks, Crosby is now tying the knot on the longevity too.In what way?
And Crosby doing it against a much larger playing pool is more impressive than Howe playing against a league comprising only players from inland CanadaCrosby has 6 PPG top 1 to 7 for Howe, its not a huge difference.
You can close your eyes and claim Crosby "didnt actually do it" or what ever, be my guess. Thats asinine though, because he has lead the league in PPG for his whole career, it doesnt take a genius to understand thst 1+1=2.
Also, Crosbys offensive peak is 10 years. From 2006 to 2016, he was out of the top 3 once. Howe did not achieve that. The year he finished outside the top 3 in PPG, he actually was 2nd in points.
People really need to start respecting Crosby.

They had the exact same number of points.I won't give Crosby credit for leading the league in PPG in 11-12. For one, it was only 22 games.
For two, Malkin had more points in that same 22 game stretch.
Howe finished top 5 in points 20 consecutive seasons.
Finishing third in points in 1950. Then did it again 19 years later in 1969. That's the equivalent to Crosby doing it in 2026. Or 2028 by age.
Noted Habs goalie Dominique Hasèque.
And Habs goalies make up 75% of the top 10 of all-time, sorry.
There is no top 10 that doesnt have Roy, Durnan, Plante and Dryden. Ill give you Price, you can debate it all you want.Thats entirely debatable.

Durnan not being in a top 10 that has Brimsek is.... questionable.

Durnan could be argued as the best ever. Read up.I dont think many unbiased top 10 lists have Durnan on it.
Durnan not being in a top 10 that has Brimsek is.... questionable.
Durnan won 6 vezinas while playing head to head with Brimsek. Brimsek had none. He won 6 vezinas in 7 years.
Won the cup twice in 7, basically elevated a middling Habs team into a dynasty. When he left they went back to sucking.
There was roughly a 5 years period between Durnan and Plante and the Habs literally sucked.
Before Bill, the Habs hadnt won in over a decade in the POs. A lot of people argue hes actually the best Habs goaltender ever.
And Im not even getting on Vezina being there who played the same amount of years without the utter dominance. (Also a Habs goaltender )

And somehow the team didnt win awards when he wasnt there, makes you think.Vezinas were team awards then.
