I distinctly read that his speed diminished. Not saying it's true, but that's what many Leafs fans said. His hands were gone for years now.

As for Grabner, if healthy and has his speed... Great signing at that price. Just the threat of a break away makes teams adjust their game plan.

Grabner was always like that. He used to get 4 or 5 breakaways every game when he was at his best. Scored on maybe 1 out of every 15.
