Funnily enough 18-6-0 is exactly the same record Lavi had with the Rangers through his first 24 games with them...

Putting the first initial before a letter rating gives me a headache.

Anyways I'll just say Bread line gets an A, I like what I see from Cullye, Quick has been fun, coaching staff has been fantastic. Powerplay gets an A as well. Faceoffs have been a revelation, so Peca gets a shoutout as well.

Bad has been even strength scoring and Igor.

Disappointed by Kakko but him getting hurt isn't his fault. I just want him to be thriving out there. Also upset about what is going on with Chytil and hope he gets healthy soon.

Might be the worst player in the NHL right now.

J. Brodzinski: C

He is what he is.

F. Chytil: W

W. Cuylle: B

A promising player whose IQ has stood out.

B. Goodrow: F

Sucks.

K. Kakko: D-

Didn't get an F because he's an upgrade on the F's but yeah, he has 3 points.

C. Kreider: A-

He's honestly having a normal one. The problem on that line is Zibanejad.

A. Lafrenière: B-

Still has warts but an extremely promising season.

A. Panarin: A+

Yeah.

T. Pitlick: C-

He's an actual good 4th liner.

V. Trocheck: A

Our 1C but that's not just a Zibanejad dig. Trocheck is good.

J. Vesey: A

Meeting expectations as much as anyone on the team sans Panarin.

B. Wheeler: F

I understood the signing but the guy just hit a wall. Find a replacement and cut your losses.

M. Zibanejad: D

Had it with him at 5v5.

A. Fox: A

See Kreider. Having a normal one but guys he plays with aren't.

E. Gustafsson: A

I keep seeing comments that he slowed down. He didn't. He just went from our 2D to our 5D when Fox came back.

Z. Jones: D

Exists.

R. Lindgren: D-

Outside of Bonino, debatably the worst offensive player in the NHL.

K. Miller: B+

Has warts but would be considered a top pairing D with an NHL partner.

B. Schneider: A-

The most improved player on the roster.

J. Trouba: FFFF
Right there with Bonino and Wheeler at 9 times the salary. This is our 1D.

J. Quick: A-

He's cool.

I. Shesterkin: C

He's there

C. Drury: B

I don't think he had a bad off-season. The bad players he signed, I understood. They just regressed. Draft was good.

P. Laviolette: F

By every objective measure, Jacob Trouba is our #1 defenseman, not Adam Fox. That, by itself, gets Lavi an F. He should probably be in jail too. @EdJovanovski you know what to do. It's the only argument I need, Shawn.

Assistants: B+

I don't know the ins and outs enough to judge each as an individual. I like that faceoffs improved. If nothing else, I don't have to read about it. Allaire made Quick good again. The worst parts of our roster are unteachable.

S. Rosen: A+

We don't know how lucky we are.

J. Micheletti: F

F is just for the hair.

J. Giannone: A

He's a good straight man.

S. Valiquette: A-

Mostly excellent analysis. Requires a good straight man. Sometimes has an agenda.

To be fair, Edmonton had like a 60% xGF under Woodcroft. This is just correction.

McDavid also got healthy, among a few other beneficial things that just happened to coincide with Knob getting hired.

So yeah, the argument about the Oilers doing as well as they are b/c of Knob is silly

Has he really been rolling trouba significantly more than Fox 5v5? I haven’t checked much but there was one last week where trouba was 2 minutes more than Fox which is unfathomably bad

That wasn't an outlier. Trouba plays a minute and a half more per game at 5v5.
