Rangers getting a really good player. He is better than any winger on that team not named Panarin or Kreider. While I think his ideal slot is on the 3rd line, he can be a good fit in the Rangers top 6.

I am guessing the prospect of playing in the top 6 is why he chose the Rangers over Carolina/Jersey/Florida.

His point total is very deceiving. At 800k that's fair though. Rangers have to play him very limited. Keep him far away from the power play too if they have any other options.

I bet he really wanted to go there. I'm sure there were many higher offers. He's still a decent player. Only downside is he was quite gassed out there last year and it won't be getting better with age.
