Nordiks offer a contract to Simon Gamache
The Quebec Nordiks of the new World Hockey Association have officially offered a contract to forward Simon Gamache according to the daily newspaper Le Soleil.
The Nordiks would apparently be interested to do the same with Benoit Dusablon today or tommorow.

Gamache played in the minor hockey leagues this season, as a part of the Nashville Predators and Atlanta Trashers. He had been drafted by the Thrashers in the 9th round, 290th overall in the 2000 entry draft.

In 11 career NHL games, Gamache, who played his junior hockey with the Val d'Or Foreurs, scored a goal and added one assist.

Dusablon three games in the NHL with the New York Rangers. He didn't score any points. In the QMJHL, he played with the Halifax Mooseheads and the Val d'Or Foreurs.

This could be the first signings of the new WHA. It's getting more serious! :handclap:

No if anything it's less serious then it was before it had any players. It's August and the league has no players or coaches or leases in most cases and apparently is already down to 6 teams. The whole thing is a joke that's insulting the intelligence of hockey fans all across North America to this point.

Exactly, this league was supposed to rival or atleast fill the void left by the NHL. Not compete with the AHL, the AHL isn't going anywhere....
