Was Craig Simpson right about Rielly being back on the 1st power play unit being a spark to get him going?

He had the secondary assist on Marner's goal, although I think he was on the ice at that time since the power play had 39 seconds left to start the 2nd period.

It was also his shot that got deflected when Holmberg scored.

Ooooooh yeah brother!
Nice win.
Can JT get a little love tonight? He looked good and nice to see Samsonov keep things locked down tonight.

Hopefully Timmins draws in soon.

Both teams played like they were on the second game of a back to back and would rather be anywhere but at the rink.

The 1st period wasn't good but the 2nd and 3rd periods were really solid

Good to see Samsonov play well, the goaltending has struggled recently so it was nice to see one of the boys giving the team a chance to win after a slow start

I think most folks at this point are just focussed on the playoffs
It was mentioned in the pre-game thread, but the regular season is essentially useless the rest of the way for us

Boston is on a historical run and it's very unlikely we catch them. For them to finish with 120 points they need to be on just a 103 point pace for the rest of the season. If they hit a big collapse in play and go on just a 95 point pace they'll finish with an insane 116 points. The race is likely over

It's game 40 and the season is down to will we get home ice for a game 7 or not. No wonder people are going to lose interest. Just another benefit of the great playoff format we currently implement

This is why they should take the opportunity to rest the guys that are already low on gas.
