Reported deal now:

To Ottawa: Matt Duchene (from COL)

To Nashville: Kyle Turris (from OTT)*

To Colorado: Samuel Girard, Vladislav Kamenev, 2nd (all from NSH), Shane Bowers, Andrew Hammond, 1st, 3rd (all from OTT)

*I also saw elsewhere that the Predators have reportedly agreed to a 6-year/$36m contract extension for Turris.

Jesus. Good job, Colorado. Kamanev and Girard were second round picks by Nashville in 2014 and 2016 respectively. Bowers was Ottawa's 1st rounder, 28th overall in the 2017 draft.

Colorado essentially gets a future 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and recent 1st, 2nd, 2nd picks.

Sakic needed a huge haul or it is likely he would have been fired. I think that is why the trade took so long to happen.
