If New Jersey were to make a trade with Vancouver for Quinn Hughes what would New Jersey give back.
Defense is the much higher priority. We don’t need to acquire another winger this offseason if a deal isn’t there.
So would we entertain a package from the canucks to unite the brothers?
Funny enough, I had the opposite, I had that feeling...... for real. "We gonna win this!", particularly after I saw Kings go at 5
There isn't anything realistic the devils can give up to get Quinn Hughes.
Can't disagree with you when it comes to Boyles faults. He is very slow, but I do think that if he's used correctly he can be very valuable. Plus his locker room presence is a plus and his size. All that said I wouldn't sign him for more than one season and I'd rather give that position to a prospect. If Rooney is our 4C that is fine. We have McCleod/Seney behind him or fighting for that same spot.
I liked Boyle here, but not sure he is the answer anymore, tbh. The team is getting younger and he is at the other side, also slow.
I enjoy being the most hated along with you guys by the main board.
Better idea
Butcher only gets traded if Ty Smith is clearly ready, imo.
Literally less than 1% chance for us to win the draft lottery twice in the spots we were in 2017 and 2019. 11%*8.5%.
Other way around. Devils trade for Quinn Hughes. So would we entertain a package from the canucks to unite the brothers?
Good cause I missed all the post-drawing stuff laughing over the result and texting a couple of buddies.
I agree but I think Ty Smith will jump Butcher during camp. Very high on Smith.
