He's a Finnish dude we signed last Summer. He played a few games with the Devils last year while Traitorchuk was injured.

Had 0 points in 4 games last year. He produced a little bit in the AHL. He wasn't too bad. Better call up than the default Tostito Tim.

I really liked Pesonen, no room for him though unless Gionta and Josefson go down.

in a way im more excited than regular season, to see the young guys play.

I did wonder why they gave him 15 considering on paper he has zero chance to make the team for Opening Night. They'd have to be willing to waste $700k in the minors for whoever he'd replace to have him make the Opening Night roster.

Then again they probably just gave him the number cause he played a handful of games last year. But Matteau played a lot more and he didn't get 15.
