80,000 minors salary. 105K Canadian. Not bad, especially he gets called up for another 5-10 games/season.
Also noticed Seuss is 100k, then 150k. Pretty good coin for AHL lifers
That was last year. Cap Friendly says he's playing for free on the Moose.
I'm surprised that its a two year deal. Given his age I would have assumed Europe would be in the cards in another season.
Given that there are going to be a lot of young players on the Moose for the foreseeable future, he's one they probably want as a vet on the club. He should wear a letter for those 2 years. Nogier is from Saskatchewan, so like Lipon, maybe you play close to home as long as you can, if you like the organization. Never know if an opportunity will arise.
Hope for "unusual but excitng" breakout future, 1 of these years. Why? Such a replaceable player. Why give term to a 7-8th peak d-man? This org just loves to throw contracts at these types of players.
Good point, I am assuming he is likely getting a pretty large bump in pay for playing on the Moose the next two years. It might be worth it to make $150k here then maybe $200k in Europe.
I read $80 000 for the Moose. If many NHL players are taking paycuts, imagine what AHL players should expect? Mort had said Toninato will get $350 000 if he is demoted, that's probably going to be the highest salary, but I don't think he'll be demoted. Last year Shaw, Griffith, Schilling earned $350 000, $300 000, $250 000 respectively and each of them got raises for their minor league salary, which tells me that rosters may be expanded if there is no AHL, and there is some competition for these type of players. $80 000 is a liveable wage, for a pretty enjoyable profession.
