Finding many on this rumor.

Nothing from the major pipelines but maybe?

Term and money have me interested. Could be either heartbreak at too much money or term or a win for BT.

Great add if the price is right.

If he wants 6 years, I really hope it isn't more than 4.5 million. A 5x5 could be reasonable though. Could see this contract biting us in the ass in a few years, so his cap better be lower if he wants term. Calgary looks like far more of a contender than Buffalo, but I honestly can't see them signing Neal unless Stone and or Brouwer are gone.

Still think Vegas resigns him, but it should be interesting to follow as the flames could use an extra top 6 RW.

Not a big fan of Neal but at least he is a top 6 forward and can score goals. Gonna wait for a better source than Mike Commodore before getting all emotionally invested about this. :)

Neal rejected a 5x5 deal from Vegas

Five years is a bit iffy for a guy like Neal but even if his totals end up tapering off towards 20 goals by the end of the deal (yes I expect ~25 per year for the first few years) then it's worth it, I think. We need goal scoring in the worst way.

Neal will be 31 in September. A 5 yr deal is too long
Flames aren't exactly playing from an advantage. Everyone knows they need goal scoring. Neal can command this, it's a bit unfortunate but is what it is. I'll be happy just to get some added goals on the roster.

I agree , unfortunately. That being said it would be nice to have someone like Neal on the top line. 4-5 years from now, maybe not so much.

Is the hit a little high? Sure. Same time, as long as he isn't stricken by injuries, if he starts to decline 3-4 years in, he isn't untradeable. Eat 1.5-2 million, and teams will gladly take a gritty scoring winger for their third line.

f*** yes. Finally a forward with a respectable shot. Was really starting to wonder there Treliving.

This fills out the forward corps perfectly. I f***ing love this signing.

Full marks to Tre for seriously revamping the offense this summer. Contract is a big one but who cares, we're supposed to be contenders now. Cap space is for losers.
