Man, it's a good call by the officials then. It was called a penalty on the play, and Necas was lining up on the ensuing power play. The refs kicked him off the ice and told him to go get checked out. He didn't return to the game after that.

It wasn't a bad hit. Necas was being Necas with a fancy behind the back pass in the neutral zone. The d stepped up and hit him after he released the puck, the ref decided it was a half second late so they called it interference. He put himself in a bad position and got hit. Don't skate forwards while looking behind you, especially when you are just receiving or releasing the puck. You're always being lined up in those moments.
