Yes, it's that time of the year again! I'll update this thread through the conference tournament championships.
With the exception of the Big Ten, all of the conferences have already either begun conference tournament play or will be starting this coming weekend. The Big Ten have one more regular season weekend before their conference tournament starts.
Atlantic Hockey, the ECAC and Hockey East all began their tournaments this weekend. The NCHC and the WCHA tournaments get underway this coming weekend. Both the NCHC and the WCHA also have games on Thursday this week (see below).
So here's what things are looking like right now heading into next weekend. Unless otherwise noted, all series begin on Friday:
Atlantic Hockey
The top four regular season finishers got byes this weekend: #1 Mercyhurst, #2 Bentley, #3 Air Force and #4 UConn
The first round (best of three series) finished as follows:
#5 Robert Morris beat #12 Army in three games.
#6 Niagara beat #11 AIC in two games.
#7 Canisius beat #10 Sacred Heart in two games.
#8 Holy Cross beat #9 RIT in three games.
So the conference tournament quarterfinals (best of three series) look like this:
