I've honestly got no issue with casinos and gambling to be quite honest. It is funny looking back that they could have had a state of the art arena and genuine mini city with the Lighthouse Project.





Got a work from home PD day tomorrow so maybe it is the drinks hitting me but man... Wang may have had too big of ambitions but he cared more about the area (and his pockets) than elected politicians did at the time.

So rather than figuring something out Nassau County decided to create a large piece of aluminum foil that they already want to get rid of. Was the Lighthouse Project going to be privately funded as well? Long time ago so could be wrong on that one.

At that time I agreed with your statement. Looking now at the way teams are being given huge acreage to build entire villages with venues and surround them with entertainment, retail, high rise condos, in retrospect Wang’s Lighthouse was ahead of it’s time. Back then it did need to be scaled back.
