I've played fantasy football and fantasy baseball before, but never fantasy hockey. Had my draft last night on Yahoo. 12 teams. How did I do? I had the 12th pick in a snake draft.

1. (12) Henrik Lundqvist (NYR - G)
2. (13) Jamie Benn (Dal - LW)
3. (36) Nathan MacKinnon (Col - C,RW)
4. (37) Shea Weber (Nsh - D)
5. (60) Alex Pietrangelo (StL - D)
6. (61) Martin St. Louis (NYR - RW)
7. (84) Brian Elliott (StL - G)
8. (85) Alexander Steen (StL - C,LW)
9. (108 )Kyle Turris (Ott - C)
10. (109) Scott Hartnell (Cls - LW)
11. (132) Jonathan Drouin (TB - LW)
12. (133 )John Carlson (Was - D)
13. (156 )Vladimir Tarasenko (StL - RW)
14. (157) Jason Demers (SJ - D)
15. (180) Jake Allen (StL - G)

Picks 1-7: Great. MacKinnon was a steal at that spot.
Picks 8-10: Okay. I probably would have gone a different direction but not bad by any means
Picks 11-16: I see some strategy there but there were likely better picks to be made (though I don't know how the draft went)

Overall, pretty good. Nice job

Agreed. 1-7 are great.

8-10 I wouldnt have taken either turris or hartnell. Saad and Hornqvist would be ideal. I love how you got Steen 8th tho. Playing with Statsny now, I think he will get 30 gs easy.

11-16 I think you could have grabbed more sleepers. Vrbata..Nichskunin..Bozak..Richards

Good team tho. If Drouin and Tarasenko go off this year, you will be highly rewarded.

Consider dropping a D man for Erik Johnson. Plays the powerplay in Colorado, which I believe will be top 5 pp this year.

You took D-men too early which may hurt you in the long run. Tarasenko was a steal where you got him. Drouin was probably taken a little early (he has a lot more risk). Might be some good free agents still out there. I like the early picks, but mid to late picks I'm not a fan of.
