This is Slaid Cleaves, how cool of a name is that!?! That first thing that struck me when listening to him was just how clear his voice is, it doesn't have any of the usual "warble" most of have in our voice. Pretty good songwriter if you ask me.

Kasey Chambers is an Australian artist that first came upon the scene around 2000. She grew up in a musical family that lived out in the boonies of Australia during her early life, hunting and selling pelts. She had a band with her family called "The Dead Ringer Band" before she went solo (although her brothers, mom and dad were still in the band) Steve Earle called her one of the best new songwriters in the lining notes of her debut album, "The Captain".
And for a terrible segue; The Byrds with, "Mr. Spaceman". The audio is terrible but the productions values are through the roof.

This song was played a tonne on the radio and i started to get sick of it but i haven't heard it in a while and it's good to hear again.
