We really are the walking wounded right now, jesus... glad this is a tank year because if we were somehow in the playoffs this would be a disaster...

Good news is NJ killer Plekanec we traded. I have no actual idea if he is a NJ killer but he did score the winning goal for us last game.

I think NJ has this but I have a suspicious feeling #9 has his streak ended tonight.

Good that Valiev gets a look. Not real optimistic as I doubt Toronto would have thrown in a potential future NHL Dman. Oh well, he gets his chance.

Win or lose at least let Hall continue his point streak!

Not really... if it were playoffs Price would play. Pacs free skates at open rink night in playoffs anyways so no big deal. So really just Weber.

Guy they had in the AHL that asked for a trade. For them, he had no value even if he is a player. Seems like a decent risk to me. I'd say, in terms of defensemen, the Leafs have the foresight like Montreal has with centremen; so I'm optimistic.

The fact that Bergevin played 1199 NHL games as a defenceman gives him insight on how best to use defensive talent I'm sure. Positives are always a great thing, Habs have a great young core of players coming. Tonight's game will be of special interest, watching how they fare considering the injuries & loss of veterans in the lineup.:nod::nod:

Our top line tonight is a big joke.
Drouin at center makes no sense. Even MB said he is not a center....so why is he playing center? He and Galchenyak together are not good. They are both -24 which means they are not responsible defensively. Playing Lehkonen on that line with them also makes no sense. Lehkonen is not doing well and probably is over rated. This has to be the worst first line in the NHL.

Come on SBah, not even you, being the model of optimism, can honestly believe that.

I read an article today that said Valiev requested a trade.

Yup. He was surpassed by others in the depth chart. The fact he got hurt probably gave others the chance to pass in front of him. I'm sure he's real happy he's in Montreal, as he is real life friends with Scherbak. Not to mention, in Montreal, he moves ahead in the depth chart. As an LD, he's got Mete, Alzner, and Reilly to compete with.
