So a lot of us know how Super Mario absolutely tore up the Q in 1983-84, scoring 133 goals and 282 points in 70 games (4.02 PPG).

What are some of the most dominant junior seasons by a defenseman? Being a Wheat King fan, I think of Cam Plante, who put up 118 assists and 140 points in 72 games in 1983-84. Who else completely ripped up their league?

These don't necessarily have to be offensively-dominant years. I'm talking about any of the Canadian Major Junior leagues.

Greg Hawgood comes to mind. 440 total points over 261 WHL games on the early 80's Blazers teams. 3 back to back to back 100+ point seasons. Was a 0.47 PPG dman in the NHL but just couldn't stick. I think he'd be much better suited for his style of play in this era.

Agreed...but could argue Orr in 65-66 and Denis Potvin 72-73...(what may have even more impressive is their point totals as 15-16yr old defencemen in the OHA.)
Junior hockey is so fluid in styles and point totals era to era it's impossible exactly compare!

* in hindsight I think it may be Potvins 72-73 season. He dominated point wise and was a total physical beast on defence. After considering both those aspects I'm going with Potvin.
