What are some examples of game fixes in different sports?

In USA, we all know of "Black Sox scandal" in baseball.

The little known event (simply because billiards isn't a mainstream sport) is the 1991 Challenge of Champions.

To clarify better, this is the first (and last) billiards tournament on which Vegas opened betting action. Mike Lebron was 20-to-1 to win the tournament.

I love the 2:15 mark of the video, where Buddy Hall makes a pre-recorded, great trick shot, only to cut back to the action of him making terrible, amateur-esque misses/scratches.

FIFA World Cup 2002, referee Byron Moreno had allegedly been bought to ensure South Korean victory over Italy in an elimination game. Fixing of this particular match was never proven, but Moreno was suspended twice for other controversial incidents in Ecuador before retiring the following year, and after his refereeing career was arrested while smuggling a large amount of heroin into the United States.

I forget which year it was, but Spain once sent a team of able-bodied athletes to the Paralympics. They ended up winning gold in basketball before the scam was finally uncovered. :help:

EDIT: Sydney 2000
