Exactement.

Même sur des sites les plus inusités comme celui ci, tu peux toujours trouver des kheys. Et nous arrivons quand même à se reconnaître entre nous grâce au language codé du fofo. Nous sommes littéralement partout.

So I'm curious, are you telling yourself that?

Nah.

Just annoyed at how we Canadians are ok with embracing things that are shitty/or flat out suck.

It ain’t just hockey either. Look at how far another Canadian “institution” Tim Hortons has fallen in the past 10-15 years. Yet people are still addicted to/love their sewage-water coffee and inedible food. Not to mention their beyond incompetant “customer service”

I'm just pointing out that you're telling "Canadians" that while being Canadian.

You and most other Canadian hockey fans are not happy with mediocrity or their playoff failures.

Agreed on timmies and politically, but let's leave that aside for this thread.

Well 2 don’t count :sarcasm: 2020 they were in the expanded bubble playoffs 24th ranked team, or around there

2021, they were 18th, probably not a playoff team in a normal year. Habs fans don’t like it when that gets mentioned. But it’s the truth.

Not sure how that's anything like Florida. This isn't a matter of, "Just barely made it as the 8 seed". Montreal under the standard Eastern Conference in 2021 finished 10th in points.

Meaning they would not have qualified if not for COVID divisions...

And they still humiliated everyone on their way to the SCF, which is kinda funny

Was 2021 the year Carey Price had a painkiller problem with other substances? Thank god the NHL is more lenient with the other substances than say the Olympics could of turned into a National disgrace.

Isn't it sad that what was basically a one-legged goaltender pretty much will his team past the Toronto Maple Leafs aka the greatest team to never have win anything?
With all those Matthews, Marner and shit, none of them could do anything about a drunk/drugged/recently came back from a concussion Carey Price

If you want to talk about a national disgrace, look no further than the Maple Leafs that year. And the years before and after that, by the same token

None of the previous divisions were permanent. Likewise, when the current divisions change, they'll cease to be permanent. What does any of that have to do with qualifying for the playoffs?

We both know there's no legit argument to this. The Covid season was a one-off, but it was business-as-usual for every team vying for the playoffs.

This to infinity.

All I hear when someone says 'They wouldn't have made it in the regular format' is that the poster simply has no understanding of how statistics work.

It wasn't lol. Montreal was shit in 19-20 and shit in 21-22. 20-21? They were a shit team that wouldn't have made the playoffs under normal conferences. That's a fact. They then rode Price and Weber having probably the best hockey of their careers to the SCFs.

But I guess you gotta pretend they were a decent team to justify that they're easily the worst SCF team in the cap era, if not much longer. :dunno:

Crazy, looking at where all the Canadian teams are heading, they’ll be the most successful team of the next 20 years as well. Find you a team so great that they’re the most successful team in the biggest hockey nation in the world for half a century, during which they won significantly fewer titles than the half century before.

The only thing missing from your fairy tale is dragons.

Good thing you included, "That's a fact", so we all know it's official.

As a Leafs fan and admittedly the worst of the bunch, I don’t think that infographic is an invitation for Habs fans to flex on their glorious modern success. More a reminder that the whole country, if you think of Canadian teams as any sort of a bloc, needs to be better 2024 and beyond.
