My sister got tickets for us and our 10 year old nephew. We're up in section 201. Pretty good seats. Nephew can't contain himself. He doesn't care if Messi only plays 10 minutes lol. I just hope actually plays. Give the crowd something to cheer about.

As a resident of the area...

While a bold idea, not ideal. The traffic is already horrible.

And you want to add a soccer stadium to the horrible, claustrophobic city? Not great

It'll probably pass.
What if I told you that the agreement with Everett says that the Revs can only have 75 parking spots on site?

FWIW, the Revs are currently in the process of being slaughtered by Club America in the CONCACAF Champions Cup. Club America is probably the favorite to win the whole thing.

It wouldn't matter. That area especially is SO congested already with the casino. There's also other businesses and communities where people live. That entire stretch of area that goes right on down to Revere Beach Parkway, even up to Assembly Square is an absolute headache. Traffic at both train stations (Wellington, Assembly).

Adding a soccer stadium would obviously draw fans. The location is just terrible. That exact piece of land is where I played baseball and softball on. Right by the power plant.

If the casino was never built, the stadium would of been ideal. But the food traffic and congestion in an already congested city is a recipe for disaster.

But we'll see what happens.

Everett, Chelsea, and Revere have no space. I think the better option would be the shuttered greyhound racetrack in Revere, right by the train station. That land is sitting vacant. And isn't in an area that's really congested.

It was obvious from day one that the seaport convention center made zero sense. Soccer stadium really should've gone there.

Unless Everett gives the stadium to them, you're safe. Lord knows the Krafts dont spend a dime more than needed on the Revolution, nevermind footing the bill for a stadium

The Revs are a complete laughingstock again and they deserve it.
Yep.

Ever since what happened with Bruce and Shalrie, to how they treated them and us fans pisses me off, the Revs have fallen. Imagine to this day not knowing why your head coach was fired and your assistant leaving to support your coach. Embarrassing.

Also our goalie sucks. Our back up sucks.

Vironi ain't the answer.

All we got is Gil. Our supporting cast ain't good enough.

We had such promise with Bruce. Now we embrace not even mediocrity, but just plain awfulness.

FMF keeps firing coaches for losing to the USMNT.

It's not coaching.

There's a significant gap in talent.

I wouldn't say it's a talent gap, so much as the FMF are up their own ass with regards to improving things and not looking outward for how to progress. El Tri and Mexico as a whole with regards to soccer has become very insular for a long time and we are now seeing the negative effects of that policy. More players who have talent in Mexico would rather focus on club than country. More players from Mexico are being blocked from going outside of Liga MX to improve due to the high transfer fee prices that the Liga MX teams ask for. The stability of the top two divisions of the pyramid have been so shaky that promotion and relegation has been put effectively on pause with no clear indicator when they will resume it. Mexican clubs overpaid for foreign talent as a means to claw back ad dollars for their league from MLS. Mexico just needs to start from square one again, but the FMF is to proud to do it. It also doesn't help that they are allegedly really corrupt.

The Revs are a complete laughingstock again and they deserve it.

It's Club America, not Mazatlan or DC United. I expect the Revs to lose to the best team on the continent and in CONCACAF. It's almost a given with the amount of talent Club America has.

At the same time though...man...this team being so terrible is going to be a hard sell to Everett when the Krafts ask to get a stadium built.

This team should be exiled to Fargo, North Dakota.
