Watching the Stars is both pleasurable and painful. I feel like a hockey Cenobite.
Nice pull

Probably missed this announcement earlier but the hockey world NEEDS a Jake podcast now that he's free from the league.

Oh man. So much yes!

Yay autof***!

Can't believe for how slow Benn was to begin with and how many hip injuries he went through that he still remained a productive player.

He’s not counted on to be the most important player or two on the team. That softens the landing for declining players. Realistically, he’s maybe their ~8th/9th most important player on-ice.

Imagine if Giroux (who was and remains better than Benn) was still the best player or two on the Flyers instead of being surrounded by a new young core. Actually, no need to imagine! He would be. That’s why the Stars are contenders and the Flyers are an entirely palatable product.

So Stars and Bolts need to win 4 out of next 5 games to make it through. Guess that's not happening.

Neither seems likely but significant difference since the Stars lost both at home. There’s going be some consequences if they can’t turn that around.

They absolutely need a defensively minded third-pairing C/LW with bursts of offensive flair and tons of grit. A real leader in the locker room, too.

Cats win without getting a single powerplay...because the ref legit hates them. Same guy that led to this classic pic last year.
