Bad trade for Ottawa.
This F. Considerations kid is boom or bust but his upside is crazy high.

no, MIN asked for Haggel to be in the trade... that's all :naughty:

as for OP... WHO??? can any MIN fan provide some info on him...?

He's a minor league player who got a 2-way contract because he was one of the better players on a terrible 14-15 Iowa Wild team(23 wins in 76 games). Now that team is better because he's not one of the better players. He will be lucky to get a 2-way contract next season, Europe or AHL contract are far more likely. As others have said, Kleinendorst probably requested him and the Wild had no issues letting him go.

Why are the Sens buys acquiring these AHL lifers?....are they trying to stock their farm team for its move to Laval next season?..or is that the Canadians?....can't keep track of the musical chairs franchises in the AHL.

How could Lombardi not try to make a better offer for future considerations?

I was not aware that "Future Considerations" were still a thing.

I still don't know how these trade conversations go.

"Hey we have this player you might like... um...

Want to just potentially maybe give us something in a year or so?"

Maybe the GM just wants someone to pay for his lunch at the next GM meetings... :help:

Probably more along the lines of

Sens GM: "Hey, we need a body for the AHL, got anyone you can spare?"

Then the Wild GM throws him a bone, knowing he know owes him a favor if they are ever in desperate need of a body.

Why? Because having a competitive AHL team is good for your NHL team because of the development that NHL teams' prospects have down there. You remember when Utica was on that playoff run? They had players like Cal O'Reilly, Brandon Defazio, Bobby Sanguinetti etc help take the load off Baertschi, Gaunce, Shinkaruk etc to produce numbers.

It's also good to have these younger players learn from the veterans down there too. Utica is a disaster this year because Benning and management have taken some of their best players and plugged them into the NHL without replacing the roles they have for Utica. Hence why Utica is a mess.
