Carrying three goalies is not nearly the impossible task (a few) people still make it out to be.
So sad to hear he's going to finish his career with a team that wont make the playoffs.
Good teams don't want a playoff sieve.Sad to see Fleury waste away the last few years of his career. He could've easily been a part of a tandem on much better teams.
Also kinda surprised Minnesota doesn't wanna roll with a Gus/Wallstedt tandem next year
Hard not love Fleury as a person, but it doesn't make a lot of sense if you're looking to contend in two years. You're telegraphing to the league that Gus is on the block, and with his play this year and contract you're selling low. Meanwhile Fleury will be gone regardless and the NMC means you won't be acquiring assets for him. So instead of a potential Wallstedt/Gustavsson combo, you're in the market for a goalie, preferably another veteran like Gustavsson. Short-term managing at its finest.
Eh, Minnesota is pretty damn good. Just struggled with injuries this yearSad to see Fleury waste away the last few years of his career. He could've easily been a part of a tandem on much better teams.

Not going to lie, was half hoping MAF would sign and retire a Penguin.
