Not really, JJ blows.

He has always elevated his game on the bigger stages, whether that's playing for the U.S., or in the NHL playoffs, where he has 21 pts in 23 games.

Even when he was signed, the common sentiment was "Oh crap, he sucks, but he might at least be useful in the playoffs." So yeah, when you've got Maatta layying eggs, it doesn't make sense to go back to him.
