I personally would love to see Mcmann playing on Matthews wing. Don't get me wrong, Knies is great but at this point of their careers, I believe Mcmann would be a better fit on that line.

Mcmann-Matthews-Marner
Knies-Domi-Nylander
Bertuzzi-Tavares-Jarnkrok
Holmberg-Kampf-Robertson
Reaves

Those are the top 2 lines I also have written down.
McMann is perfect as a 3rd wheel for two stars.
Knies would probably be more involved playing with Domi on the 2nd line, and would not have to go up against the other team's top checking line.

That hatrick literally changed his life. Crazy.

He was going to be a healthy scratch if JT wasn't sick the other day.

Now he's a millionaire.

An NHL hat trick isn’t something that can just happen either. So nice to see him get it.

He became a millionaire by making Tavares look useful.

It would have sucked to have developed him to NHL player status only for him to have gone on and signed elsewhere and played his NHL career there. Like it must have been for Bunting to leave Arizona and be nominated for rookie of the year. Great signing.

Not just the hat trick but the way he plays. He’s fast, can hunt pucks and shoot. He might be Hyman/Connor Broen light and it feels nice to get to keep one of these guys at a reasonable number instead of losing them

Great, going to need as many sub $2M players as possible next year.

I mentioned on another thread, his ceiling is Hyman but more realistically, he is Trevor Moore 2.0

I'll take his contract over Kampf anyday
1.3 per year is not bad. Can be buried and not long term if it doesn't work out

Jack Eichel sticks with the leafs

Good deal

20 goals and 40 pts should be reasonable expectations in a 3rd line role

If he sucks can bury the deal almost 100% so little risk

Maybe I'm just old but I have no idea who Paisano Romano with his 1200 Twitter follower is so why are his tweets being posted here? Perhaps someone with a Twitter account could post this message to Twitter for me.
its just a fan who doesnt post on hfboards opinion haha

Twitter has a lot of leaf fans with opinions so people post them here

Thanks. I find it strange that someone would post some nobody's opinion instead of just posting their own opinion but maybe it's just easier if you're on a phone and in a hurry.

Based on the fact he would have been a UFA not RFA I thought it could have been 1.6 so I'm happy about this.
