Missing the playoffs, getting nothing for Hall, him not resigning and losing all those assets is sooooo Coyote-like it's bound to happen. We can't get a real owner and expect to have a successful season in the same year. That would be selfish!

I don't think Chayka has/had intentions of signing Hall long term. He thought he would give our O a lift and make it easier to get into the playoffs.

If Hall is flipped for something around the price payed for him, that would be the closest you can come to a control-Z on the trade. So I mean, that's not embarassing.

Embarassing would be to miss the playoffs and lose him for nothing.

(What has gone down, hfboards are slow? Toronto traded for a bottom-pairing defenceman or something? )
