Maxim Balmochnyk

Hi all
I'd just like to know if anyone of you knows if Maxim Balmochnyk as played a game yet with the Albany River Rat. If not, is he going to play this year?

The New Jersey Devils website lists him as being in Albany
The Albany website and other AHL website don't list him
My guess is he skipped out on the team
Might resurface back in Russia....
He was apparently not that bad in camp for the Devils...

Last year, he played for Severstal Cherepovets in RSL. He is not in the roster right now.

His career doesn't look easy. He came in NA in 1998-99 to play for Quebec Remparts in LHJMQ. He left for Russia during the Christmas break apparently because he had difficulties to adapt. Then he played 3 years in AHL with a very short presence in NHL ( Anaheim) and went back in Russia last year.

Hockey is not always an easy profession...

Foster hasn't played a game yet this year in Albany either. I don't know whats going on, they are playing 10 forwards every game.

Sad news, apparently Maxim's kid died back in Russia and he left to go back which explains his absence in Albany's first handful of games. He's come back to play, although I would be quite understanding if his first concern wasn't hockey right now.
