I was hoping the Islanders got this guy. Seems like he might have a career as a bottom 6 bully who won't hurt you defensively

Burke may be gone but the era of truculence is clearly just beginning

Button spoke about his improvement and how good his second half was. I'd be interested to look at the numbers.

I think this is a great pick

Definitely has baseline NHL ability as long as he develops well. Likely a pain in the ass third liner, kind of a budget Ferland/Wilson if everything goes right

Impressive to have 37 points in 49 games when you spend 5+ minutes a game in the penalty box.

I don't even know how it is possible to get that many PIMs and not be considered a complete goon.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too. Like, it's more than a major a game. Probably a bunch of 15s and 20s in there as well, but it's really a staggering number.

He is the third oldest from Pospisil clan. According to discussion there are:

- Michal Pospisil, born year 1993, (not active now)
- Kristian Pospisil, 1996 (last season in ECHL)
- Martin Pospisil, 1999
- Timur Pospisil, 2010
- Kilian Pospisil, 2017

I want Eetu Tuulola to say, "Anything is Pospisil in this life."

More importantly, can you imagine E2 and Pospisil on the same line together? I imagine it would be the 4th or 3rd line, but damn are those two going to just run over everyone on the ice. (I realize the odds of both making the NHL is rare, but it'll be fun in the AHL)

Really like this pick. Wasn’t a fan of Fisher last year. But this guy seems like a future 4th line **** disturber.

Numbers are pretty solid. That’s a hard league to score in your draft year

I considered it, but I don't know anything about Pospisil's style other than the high PIMs. Having those to together would be interesting. You'd pay attention to Pospisil, then baby face runs you over.

Really? There was a classic book "Timur and his suite" (Timur i jego komanda) from 1940 by Arkadij Gajdar. So i thought, its classic Russian name.
Timur is a Turkic name, but it also has roots in Chagatai (a Turkic-Mongol hybrid language that was spoken from Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Northern China, and parts of India). Because eastern Russia is in Asia and for a long time was actually part of Mongolia, some of the language and names transferred into use (people always forget that 78% of Russia's landmass is in Asia, as well as roughly 25% of it's population, so Turkic-Mongol names that are common in central Asia aren't uncommon in Russia either).
