Grabovski is the answer....to salary cap pain. Still glad we passed. He's not a difference maker on the Caps roster where it matters (the playoffs), so no reason to overpay for a mediocre player.

How are you evaluating Grabovski's playoff impact on a team he never played a playoff game for?

All at ES, which would tie him with Johansson for 3rd on the team among forwards. My browser is acting up so I can't check, but I'm guessing he's doing it with much less favorable zone starts as well.

His FO% is terrible so far though.

From what I've seen he still plays his aggressive puck-pressuring possession style. I know islander fans are extremely happy with Kulemin (who was considered by some here an anchor to signing Grabo... imagine the team with Grabo and Kulemin instead of some of the deadweight crap we have). I'd imagine they're happy with Grabo as well.

But yeah, we can't have him for playoffs, he doesn't lead men while putting up 9 points in 67 games or whatever it is leaders of men do.
