For a second I thought we acquired Carl Hagelin for nothing.

Such a disappointment.

Kinda weird we're essentially trading for a contract slot before expansion... Wonder if GMCF plans on acquiring players before the playoffs.

He played for the Sens AHL coach when he was with the Wild.

Hagel had no real future here and gives the younger guys a chance at more ice time in Iowa.

Not a bad trade. The extra contract slot might help with figuring out the expansion draft.

Sens opened up contract slots in the Wingels deal, lost AHL bodies.

Hagel's not needed in Iowa anymore and never had an NHL future.

Kleinendorst coached him in Iowa.

Sens/Wild management have a ton of connections. Just Fletcher helping others without losing anything of value.

So... These "future considerations" might just be a pastrami sandwich the next time Sens GM Guy and Fletch meet for lunch?

They're just opening a contract slot so we can sign Bryz as our locker room guy.

Literally had to google him to see if we were getting him or trading him away...

Guy has been in our system for 4 years, wasn't ever gonna get called up, good to let him try to make an impression somewhere else.
