What scenarios after this trade could make that possible?
Seabrook gone?
Shaw/Kruger
Seabrook gone?
Shaw/Kruger
How can we fit that 9.5M in? Honestly?
Anisimov + Seabrook for Malkin, lets say
So your left with who on D?
Keith, Hjalmarsson
TVR, Kempny,
Gustafsson, Svedberg?
That sounds great :barf:
Not happening
Then why did Eklund throw it out there?
Consider Pitt is already at $68.7in cap with only 14 signed for this season...also Bonino has 1 year remaining on his cheap $1.9 m deal and they probably want to raise him and lock him up longtime ...Yes tgey can get relief by trading g Fleaury if he agrees...but maybe he will not agree to a trade ...Malkin seems unhappy because it always seems that when Crosby is starring g Hino does less or slumps. .when Crosby gets hurt ir slumps it reverses and Malkin soars and shines
So maybe he is no longer happy with the situation. ..Chicago is one of the teams he would be willing to go in trade to...And as I said ..if they raise and kick in long term Boninno he probably wants to get paid as a star 2C would. .so something has got to give unless Fleury agrees to waive his NMC and if he does not...they are in deep doo-doo ..so that is the situation..and maybe if Bonino is raised to $5.5 million-$6 million maybe Pitt needs to re-structure and would rather have 2 guys up the middle costing a combined $11-11.5 million as 2C and 3C than just affordable $9.5 million 2C and have to.let Bonino go on a year or cut somebody else this year just to keep him for only 1 more try? SO either they re-structure their 2C cheaper and get a winger for the difference $4million..as 8n Anisimov and Shaw cover Malkin's current cap hit and we probably gave to throw in a 2018 first rounder .or they want only Anisimov and say Schmaltz and a 2018 first ...point is
.the cap does strange things to team structure allocations and so especially if the player wants to go elsewhere ...Maybe it is time for them to shake it up too!
Eklund is an idiot.
This Geno idea is really growing on me.
The idea of Connor McDavid on the Blackhawks is growing on me as well, and is every bit as likely.
What would you rather have?
Malkin+Wiercioch
Seabrook +Anisimov+Kruger?
Schmaltz-Toews-Hossa
Panarin-Malkin-Kane
Shaw-Matthias-Panik
Hartman-Moore-McNeil
Keith-Wiercioch
Hammer-Kempney
TVR-Gus
Keep in mind Pittsburgh steamrolled San Jose with their defence
Then why did Eklund throw it out there?

Malkin just posted a picture on instagram of him and Crosby with the cup... with the caption 'Best Friends'.
The guys so unhappy.

Because a hack blogger like him expects it to be clickbait. Then why did Eklund throw it out there?
