Actually, it's complete and utter stupidity, and that is perhaps generous.

Nope. Just good old reality.

Dion injured his own teammate with a reckless shot.

Cost the team millions in downtime (2.625 million)

Dion is paid 6.5.

6.5 + 2.625 = 9.125

That's how much Dion cost the team this year.

And there may be more to come.

Living in reality would mean being able to realize accidents happen and to not overreact like this.

You do realize that 2.625 isn't accurate right? He's not being paid 5.25 this year, his new deal doesn't kick in until next season. Not to mention Dion isn't being paid 6.5, because it's only a 48 game season.

How does one form an argument with numbers that are so clearly wrong?

He's just grasping at straws to hate Phaneuf

Lupul went to Europe and took someone's job.

Some players like Subban spoke openly about not wanting to do it and in my opinion i agree 100%.

Karma's a biatch.

Bomber that is literally the worst post I have ever seen. Stick with the Rocky references, please.

Dustin Bufylin (sp?) took a shot today, right by 6'6' Antropov's forearm on the play, and put it in the top corner. Apparently it was a great shot.

Not sure how Phaneuf's shot was going 20 feet high and wide. But I guess if it suits your agenda.

Yes the shot injured him, but Lupul needs to take some blame here too. Lupul knew that standing in front of the net was risky and he also knew Phaneuf had a wild-child shot but yet he gambled, that gamble cost him 8 weeks. As much as Phaneuf is to blame so is Lupul.

Off topic here but how come you still have #fireburke under your name if he's been fired already lol

Put Lupul in a bubble when he comes back and place a handle with care tag on him.

There shouldn't be any blame period. Both were doing their jobs. One shooting the puck towards the net, the other trying to screen the goalie and either tip the puck in or put in a rebound.

Lemme guess you worked for Enron and World Com and AIG? That is their type of accounting.

Ya good luck explaining that to your coaches.

Forwards are supposed to screen the tender when a shot comes from the point.

The onus solely rides on Dion for taking a responsible shot when his teammates are between him and the net.

Sometimes it's so easy to see which posters have played the game and which clearly haven't.

Looks like neither of them has. It was a hockey play, no fault of anyone.

Same type of thing happens to every team, every year.
