Say goodbye to future Vezina nominations Hank. Now that Torts is gone you're not gonna be a good goalie according to some

You seriously can't expect his stats to remain as they are when (IF - latest rumour is something you all will really hate ) they open up the system. He'll still be a very good goalie, but he won't be what you all have come to expect from him game in and game out. It's just not possible.

It'll be even more interesting if Sather gives him a typical New Yorker UFA retirement contract this summer. Then you'll see the **** hit the fan next year.

Strong disagree. Hank's style makes it so he stops everything but really good deflections or really nasty snipes. The Tort's system helped with the quality scoring chances by blocking them, but that made deflections more likely.

The "six goalie system" had Hank facing odd-man rushes consistently anyway, so any of the morons on the main boards who are counting on a worse Hank are in for a rude awakening.

Who cares about statistics? It's how he actually plays and it's not like Hank hasn't played behind teams playing crap defense before. If the team becomes more successful and competitive, while Hank's stats take a dent (which I don't believe they won't by that much if the team allows him to actually see the shots), who cares?
