I decided to start a 2nd Thread for this and btw LMFJIM stands for the Lone Marlin's Fan Journey Into Madness in case you wanted to know. I will be doing a review of hopefully every game, but I'll probably miss a few. Here are my predictions for how this year will go.

WE SUCK POINT BLANK PERIOD!

If anything this season will be fun to watch, and I'll be rooting for certain players on the team ala Lewis Brinson, Jose Urena, and Justin Bour. Poor J.T Realmuto will probably be traded by the end of the trade deadline, along with Starlin Castro who I don't think wants to be apart of this franchise. Pitching wise, I mean heres our pitching staff and you tell me if you know all of these people. SP: Wei-Yen Chen IR - Dan Straily IR - Jose Urena - Adam Conley - Dillon Peters - Odrisamer Despaigne. RP: Junichi Tazawa - Kyle Barraclough - Drew Steckenrider - Nick Wittgren - Chris O'Grady. CP- Brad Ziegler. I mean Chen, Straily and Urena are decent starters, but I doubt they crack most teams #3 spot on other rosters. For relievers Tazawa and Barraclough are solid setup guys IMO, but old man Ziegler will probably be traded soon, so hopefully he can have a good 1st half so we can get some decent prospects for him.

So, most of all, I'm just hoping this team is watchable, because I know this team will be absolute garbage, unless everyone plays above their own skill level. Yeah, so this will be a fun year. Go Marlins, I guess.

You know, there is a charm to the Marlins I've always liked. Maybe it's the old uniforms (I loved their original uniforms) or the dinger machine at the ball park, but for some reason ever since I got MLB.TV, I would tune into Marlins games occasionally. Like I said, there is a certain "corny" charm to that team over the years. It's a shame they are ran by a pitiful owner.

Just can't feel bad for a fan base that has 2 WS Championships since my team last won one. That, and I hate the Marlins. Hope they lose. A lot.

the marlins might be the weirdest franchise in NA pro sports

they've been at the very bottom of the standings or just barely around/above .500 for their entire existence with the exception of two seasons where they won the WS as a wild card

so odd

My prediction for your Marlins: They surprise everyone, finish in a wild card spot and then go a run all the way to the World Series.

What follows is a terrible Disney movie on the historic Cinderella story.....

But in all seriousness good luck with this, I will definitely be following your quick fall into madness.

Well, pretty bad performance other than a select few guys. Seems like I jinxed Bour, Brinson, and Urena by saying I'll be rooting for them. Hopefully tomorrow we can get a better performance from our starter.

All around good effort. I did not expect us to tie a series with the Cubs. Now for the Red Sox...
