Weird ride. Around December I was team Carlsson. After we got last, I was hoping for Bedard. After the draft lottery, I was all in on Fantilli.

I don't think we can go wrong with him, but I hope Leo kicks ass for us.

I'm a bit surprised but the top four/five are all so good this year. If this was the guy that Madden and staff see having the best career of anyone in this draft after Bedard, I'm excited to see him in a Ducks jersey.

I did think that Fantilli's heart and grit would tip the scales if things were close, but maybe they were just so enamored with Carlsson's playmaking upside that it wasn't that close.

How often does this actually happen?

I am surprised that they took Carlsson. I was like 95% sure they would take Fantilli. I don't hate it, I think they were both good options so now we'll just have to see how this plays out.
