OMG. Seriously? Proline? Worst. Odds. Ever. Open up an account at an online sportsbook.

How does this compare to Bodog? That's what I've been using for the past year

Weird how refs are to blame.

Penalties were 6-4, and one of theirs was too many men, so really only 5-4. (I took away the fights and coincidentals)

And one was a 4 min high sticking penalty... hard not to call that one

Agreed. Which is why shocked is the wrong word. Disappointed is a bit more accurate. I don't know about you guys but I don't know Ranger's game at all, except from commentator analysis and a few pre season games. We have seen enough from Gardiner and Franson to know that they can move the puck up ice efficiently, though. Thats half a defence corps that can get the puck out quickly and aid in the speed.

I'm hoping that those three can significantly help cure what ails the Leafs in this category.

I'm at a loss for ideas/words here, I mean the forwards are fast and the defence pairings are all decent physically/positionally so why are they struggling so bad with ONE simple pass up the ice? It's like they go bat**** stupid whenever the heat is on for more then 5 seconds and instead of using their brains to think things through they panic and make the worst decison possible 9/10.

And some Prust.

To be fair though, Fraser did run Prust from behind into the boards it doesn't matter if he turned or embellished the fact is you DONT hit a guy when his back is to the wall, I don't blame Prust for going after Fraser for that incident.

I don't blame him either but these days our squad isn't afraid of the challenge. It was allows us to play tough in the corners etc...

You say "hit", I say "rode him into the board". Which is a typical hockey play.

I glad we got 2 points because last year we were not that good on back-to-backs and this one is away-and-away so a lot of travel. Who knows though, maybe we will be in more of a "game form" than Flyers from this practice-like game.

As someone mentioned Comedians should not try to tough it up with us. They lose their best asset - speed and still cannot match us physically. In fact, it's exactly what I predicted on main and Habs boards when discussing their off-season acquisitions. So far so good. Let them goon it up with B's and Ottawa too [popping beer and getting popcorn]. :naughty:

Rode him into the board as Prust turned away and put himself in a dangerous situation. Not an ideal situation, but nothing dirty.

None can match the mighty mighty Maple Leafs when it comes to goonery!

As I was saying on the trade board, the Habs simply have no response to Phil "Bunyan" Kessel, James van Divesdyk, Nazem "Nifty Punches" Kadri, and the Trio of the Fist (Colton "The Sheriff" Orr, Frazer "Chuckles" McLaren, and Mark "Skullcrack" Fraser).

Even though we didn't look so tough in fights last night.....

I'd like those hits on Prust to be reviewed.

On the Phaneuf play, Prust tucks on the launch into the boards. Just watch how he protects himself as he throws himself into the boards.

Phaneuf was dumb for even touching him, but that was all Prust.

Prust was being a ***** last night ... Topping it off by not dropping the gloves, just cowering out ... The first time, when Fraser fought Moen, he wouldn't even offer .. The second time he ran Fraser from behind at the behind and when Fraser caught him and dropped the gloves to fight he wouldn't go

Someone who played really well for the Leafs last night that never gets any recognition:

Phaneuf

He got a sweet goal in the 2nd period, finished a +1, was responsible defensively, yet effective offensively. A great game from our captain. He was involved on the Gallagher goal but there wasn't much he could do.

I think Phaneuf had an excellent game with Gunnarsson. Franson/Fraser were also fantastic.

But knowing Phaneuf, tonight he will have a horrible game, he just needs that consistency. I have in my fantasy team so I'm paying extra attention to DEE-YAWN FAT-NOOF.

Prust is hurt. He got injured in the preseason. He hurt himself in a fight. That's why Moen went.

friggin reimer just sits there and doesnt even move on that 3rd goal

I hope you don't mean the goal where gardiner coughed up the puck at the point and gave lars eller a brekaway late in the 3rd period?

People need to stop blaming the goaltenders for blatant defensive lapses. Not one of the goals last night were reimers fault, and he chipped in 34 saves to boot.
