Calgary has sucked recently and are due for a good game, I hope that the Leafs win, but it may not be easy.

I thought last night would be difficult. I have no idea which Leaf team shows up tommorow.
2 goals Matty will make 20 in 20. He can do it. Strange that 20 in 20 is rarer than 50 in 50.

20 in 20 Leaf games. It will only be game #19 for the Big Cactus.

Amazing.

I would have guessed that we are 21st in shots against and 10th in shots for.

There is room for improvement in defense: GA, SA and PK%.

The PK is actually best in the league at shot attempts against per 60 and 3rd best in shots against per 60. Fred just has an unsustainably low PK SV%.

I think Calgary comes out with a feisty push after their Edmonton performance, and directs a lot of shots and traffic on net, but the key is to just weather the storm and then deliver the merciless gut punch and hopefully they fold up.

And you know Markstrom will bounce back after a pair of rough games lately. Feels like it will be a close, low scoring game

Hyman and Muzzin are definitely banged up from last night.

I won't be surprised if both are removed from the lineup until Wed.

Edit: oh and by the way

GA and PK% improve with Andersen, not our defense. We are top 10 in Shots Against, and a lot of that has to do with teams just throwing pucks at Andersen.

A rare bad game for Markstrom. SOG vs the Oil were 44-24 in favor of the Flames who allowed only 9 SOG in the 31 minutes Rittich was in. Of course the Flames board wants everyone fired or traded but they weren't rolled over. I predict a challenging game as it seems teams play a lot better after an undeserved thrashing then after a game they stole. Freddie will be in tough to get a point here if the difference is to be the goalies. It will be interesting to compare Brodie and Tanev as the season has progressed. The glass man is hanging in.

Take advantage of a Calgary team in disarray at home before a 5 game western road trip. I wonder if Campbell is close to returning, should sprinkle him in here for a few games in the next 7. Ideally give Andersen Monday or Wednesday off, and during the back to back in Edmonton or Vancouver a week Wednesday/Thursday.

Just 1 game, give him a chance to prove himself. Give one of Hyman-Mikheyev-Kerfoot-Engvall-Vesey-Boyd the night off.

If he sucks it would be no different than any night playing one of our bottom 2 forwards.

Haha, I was coming here to post something similar but you nailed it. Ride it out and then put them in the GROUND.

Happy birthday Muzz. Nice to know my birthday is the same week as fellow Leaf, Muzzin.

Hopefully Leafs can get me a win on Wednesday night so I can celebrate my birthday on Thursday the right way.

Any news on Muzzin? Hope it's not serious but it looked bad.

It's gonna be a weird vibe cause we all want the team to go at Tkachuk after last game, but a lot of fans will want a big showing from Tkachuk cause... well you know why....
