Leafs have 17 games before the Trade Deadline.

Currently they are have played 43 games, with a record of 16-20-7 for 39 points.

They have
@Philly
Carolina
Montreal
@Florida
@Tampa
@Boston
New Jersey
@Ottawa
@Calgary
@Edmonton
@Vancouver
@Chicago
NY Ranger
Philly
Nashville
Carolina
@Montreal
(Listed so easy to predict)

I have us going 6-9-2 for 14 points in 17 games. This would essentially keep us bottom 3, and this doesn't take into account if we start moving guys sooner rather than latter.

Thoughts?

Just start trading already! This wait is killing me and I can't stand to see us climb in the standings again while Edmonton rots and gets another #1pick. I'd prefer Calgary crumble and win over Edmonton again.

I swear they should change the rule that whoever wins a 1OA can't win it again the year following. This would force teams who have won to start stepping up there game.

We shall see. I was predicting we would go on a hot streak, but things are more unpredictable given JVRs injury, and the leafs scoring drought.

We're ice cold right now, but we've got a lot of games against some pretty bad teams in there. I'm guessing/hoping for about 15 points and one or two trades.

Tanking ain't the same as it used to be.

Tanking to dead last only guarantees you 20% chance at 1st overall and 4th overall guaranteed.

But yeah if the Oilers win Matthews I quit.

Tanking just isn't what it used to be .... But I'm full on tank now. I'd like to see Reimer play well but I don't think it'll happen. Queue the excuse factory.

I see roughly 12 to 14 points we will start with a loss with Philly to night...... with JVR out and an early trade this week by Lou involving Leo(mid to low 1st) and or Bozak(low 1st to high 2nd)and we get less than !0 points during that stretch:nod:....... the return has to be good.

The Leafs will win more games than they lose in this stretch but it won't matter. The trades are still being made if available. There's a semblance of a plan for once and the plan isn't getting derailed for some quasi-competence shown by a veteran laden lineup.

I think the Leafs will be bottom 5
I think the Leafs will trade away the tradeable players that are about to become UFAs for picks, prospects and salary dumps.
I think the Leafs will have a higher winning % after the deadline when the younger players start playing
