After the street hockey level goal Samsonov let in vs Greenway, I think the Leafs were still in a normal head space. Got the Matthews goal, but pretty soon realized the Big 4 would each have to be scoring multiple goals to trade baskets like that basically playing EN.

Bad Samsonov energy derailed the team.

This team needs a coach that will instill defensive responsibility to these players. The question is can many of these players handle the discipline necessary to make them a good defensive team. I doubt it. There is no accountability with this group.
