Hopefully he comes back to the marlies next season ala Grunstrum to join them for the playoffs. Not too worried about this overall, still have hopes he can make our top 6 one day.

Long term, we probably have 2-4 spots spoken for between reilly, dermott, lilly, borgman and zaitsev cause of that contract. Neilsen definitely took a step back, but can possibly bounce back too.

Leafs stuck with Johnson in his development years in the SHL and AHL. Even Engall did not have many SHL minutes but has done well in AHL, could he be a NHLer. You're right, patience. As long as the Leafs hold his rights, the path of development can take different routes.

Leafs can now afford to leave prospects in the A for however long it takes. Its a great position to be in.

I can remember a time when our prospects were so scanty, that a Jeremy Bracco would be hailed as the next top ten scorer. Wasn't all that long ago.

Rasanen should be a shoe-in for the World Junior team this year.

Playing against men all year will be great for him and hopefully we see a breakout performance at the WJC.
