Kill the guy who made this schedule, mother f***er doesn't know playoff hockey can go 7-8 periods.
Even in this unlikely scenario, i wouldn't even be worried about the next game. Leafs can rotate in any or all of Gally , Brooks, Engvall, Sandin if they need some fresh legs and still look good. Habs have nothing

Would have made a lot more sense to have us start on Tuesday. Gives us 3 full days off, allows for an extra day break inbetween playoff games instead of the B2B.

If this is what the schedule is going to look like throughout the playoffs it’s going to be hard as hell on the players, depth will be key

It's EXTREMELY important the Canucks and Flames play their EXTREMELY important games and finish their EXTREMELY important season before the UNNECESSARY playoff series begin.

When you have a commissioner who despises Canada and sees it as little more than a piggy bank to prop up weak American teams, you get situations like this. You think he'd make US teams play back to back key playoff games if the Devils and Sabres still had games left against each other?

1 billion % agree.

How can they think this is fair and a level playing field when we are the only group that has to play back to backs?

This s*hit can decide a series and since all of our backups have been travestys lately it leaves a bad feeling in my mouth.

What a joke.

If that B2B decides the series, then we're extremely overrated. Lol.

That shouldn't be a factor at all.

Besides

Both teams in the series have the same situation, it doesn't reward nor punish one team unequally.

Toronto #5 ranked (77 points) vs Montreal #16 & last ranked team (59 points) is already the biggest mismatch on the board in round #1, with the Leafs in a 56 game season finishing nearly +20 points better than their opposition.

In fact there are 2 teams NYR and Dallas that finished ahead of Montreal in the standings and don't even qualify for the playoffs.

If a B2B in this series is the Leafs demise then you're 100% correct.

What are the odds of that back-to-back culminating with a high stakes game? Happy to be back to a best of seven anyway.

This post reminds me of that one cat who was always on about the Canadian Branch Plant Division, Patrick O'Thuggo and Ivan Svensky.

I think he was named ArBe maybe....real different cat.

In a normal year, starting the playoffs before the regular season ends would be weird and stupid. But this isn't a normal year.

In this case, cramming our playoff series into a condensed window so that it can fall after these utterly meaningless Canucks/Flames games is weird and stupid.

That the Canadian teams have to play back to backs in the playoffs is the biggest f***ing joke imaginable. f*** this stupid league, who gives a shit about the Flames and Canucks? Start us earlier so we don’t have to play back to back nights. It should never happen in the playoffs.
Flames and Canucks can play all four games in one day as far as I concern. Two in the morning and two in afternoon. Gary buys lunch for both teams. Boooooooo!!!!

Not to mention they have to time-travel back to play game 7 in that first CBS graphic.

By the time the 2nd half of the back to back will be played leafs will be completing the sweep.

Leafs just got to play their game. We have a huge advantage at basically every position and the only way we lose or this series goes long is if we shoot ourselves in the foot with bad decisions and have trouble finishing routine danger chances again
