Those were some loaded deadlines in back to back years.

2002-03 we got Owen Nolan, Glen Wesley, Phil Housley and Doug Gilmour.

2003-04 added Leetch and Ron Francis.

And Calle Johansson came out of retirement lol.

Those were the best Leaf trade deadlines in my lifetime for sure.

I was super stoked for Owen Nolan

Yep, it was the first deadline deal for a genuine top tier player in a long time for the Leafs. Then he injured his knee with the most innocent looking play ever (I think his skate got caught in a rut). Oh well, at least he was around long enough to say "Boohoo" to the Senators hen they all had the flu.

Those Leaf teams were stacked. Still they couldn't win. I still remember how deflated I felt after the Roenick goal.
I remember that feeling as well....back then i couldn't believe we lost, now i can't believe we have a shot at winning a round, dam i miss that feeling.:(
