Leaf Deadline Deals you were most excited about

Those were some loaded deadlines in back to back years.

2002-03 we got Owen Nolan, Glen Wesley, Phil Housley and Doug Gilmour.

2003-04 added Leetch and Ron Francis.

And Calle Johansson came out of retirement lol.

Those were the best Leaf trade deadlines in my lifetime for sure.

I was super stoked for Owen Nolan

Yep, it was the first deadline deal for a genuine top tier player in a long time for the Leafs. Then he injured his knee with the most innocent looking play ever (I think his skate got caught in a rut). Oh well, at least he was around long enough to say "Boohoo" to the Senators hen they all had the flu.

Coming back from the lockout with O'neil, Peca, and Lindros was the beginning of a long run of pain

Those Leaf teams were stacked. Still they couldn't win. I still remember how deflated I felt after the Roenick goal.

I remember that feeling as well....back then i couldn't believe we lost, now i can't believe we have a shot at winning a round, dam i miss that feeling.
