Pretty happy with the offseason, losing Palat to Seattle is like losing him to free agency one year early so was happy to keep Gourde, Kilhorn and the young guys on cheap contracts. Lekhonen is my favoriye Habs player (I know, I know) so I probably overpaid but this guy with Gourde and Colton would be a great shutdown line, not as good as Coleman-Gourde-Goodrow but still. I keep the Cirelli line intact and let Jospeh/Barret-Boulay/Katchouk battle to play with Kuch and Point. I kept my defence intact so really happy about that. After dumping Johnson for an arm and a leg and losing Palat to expansion I'm under the cap without using LTIR. I still need a 800,000$ semi-decent goalie but Clavin Pickard is UFA so I should be good.
Dower-Nilson I like him a lot where I got him. He reminds me of Lias Andsersson (hoping he won't have the same progression). Used to wear the C, super intense and physical. He looks like a pain to play against. I wanted to go with Malatesta (such a TB pick) but wanted so see where he would drop after picking him in last mock with Detroit.
Lockhart is a big gamble because he didn't play any hockey this year. Long term project but the skating and offensive IQ is there. I was expectiong a big progression from him this year, I hope he worked hard in the gym to bulk up.
Hugo Gabrielson, I noticed him while scouting Edvindsson. He was honnestly insane at zone exits from the tapes I have seen. Nothing flashy but super effective with the puck. He could develop in that serviceable Top6 Dman that you can play up and down the lineup in case of injuries but needs to get better defending.
Hayes, I just love the way he plays, was expecting a big progression form him this year. He was able to play in Slovakia and did good against men.
Sjoholm, I really don't know if his skillset can translate to the NHL because of his size and average skating, but he's a solid defensive RHDman that always finds a way to get the job. He needs to gain muscle ans work on his skating.
Crnkovic once again not sure if his skillset can translate to the NHL but if there's one team that can turn a small offensivly gifted junior player in a NHL player it's Tampa Bay.
It was hard to always pick a couple picks after my other team, always seemed to be picking my plan B.
