Honeslty it's the best move I think. He's either struggling massively with the mental side of his game and is about to be on a mega downslope or he just doesn't fit bc the team can't cater to his specific skillset. With his salary due, Clb almost HAS to get him the hell out of town and recoup some value.

I wouldn't want him on my team though.
