Feels light for Rays IMO
Glasnow and Margot were set to make a combined 35 million in 2024, and other clubs knew the team was desperate to shed that salary

It may "feel light", but they've picked up a couple of prospects, and can now use part or all of that 35 million saved to address other areas of need

Spot on up until that last part. They may sprinkle a few of those dollars around, but these budget teams just dump contracts as soon as they reach a certain point and start the cycle over. They're not going to replace that $35 mil.

Don't like this. Glasnow has never thrown over 120 innings in a season and only 2 where he's thrown over 90. One of which came when he spent part of his last season as a Pirate and came out of the bullpen 34 times. The Dodgers pitching lab is pretty good but not even they can really fix a guy who has the durability of wet toilet paper

For that type of cash you probably could have gotten Blake Snell.

Seems risky with his injury history.

Yeah I know none of them are as good as Glasnow when he is healthy and on, but the Dodgers need a lot of pitching, I might have rather had Wacha, Flaherty, and Lugo or at least 2 of them and then go after Snell, Montgomery, or Yamamoto, or try to trade for Burnes

At the rate Glasnow's career has gone they might be paying him like 1.5 mil per start when this deal is done
