IMO Telegin was the best OAR player through out the tournament.

I dont understand why he isnt on a NHL team honestly.

He spent a season in the AHL, and after Winnipeg wanted him to go there again for another year he decided that sitting on his sofa back in Russia would be more fun.

Yeah, and no Gusev and Kaprizov on the Olympics all stars as well.

Yeah. Don't know who selected these awards abd how. Doesn't matter in the end though. Main thing is that most of the hockey fans know that Kaprizov is a beast already. Young humble looking beast.

If Kovy scored on that overtime rush he deserved the MVP award.

Kovalchuk totally took over that overtime, he is by far the best Russian player. However 5v5 Germany neutralized his line.

Olympic Athletes from Russia (OAR) were not allow to sing the Russian anthem.
But, they ignored. Former NHLer Ilya Kovalchuk made a lame excuse.

Well it says "from Russia", so I guess it makes sense for them to feel some pride about you know being "from Russia".

(This is one of the more ridiculous charades in an Olympic history full of ridiculous political charades.)

By far... behind Gusev.

Gusev is good but not Kovalchuk level. You saw that on the 4v4 situation. The class of a player shows in a more open game and Kovalchuk was the only player on the ice doing anything that entire OT period
