Well now all those who wanted people to wait before criticizing Shanahan company will have to step aside.

A wonderful black mark on their reputation. Basically gave away Kessel. What a garbage deal.

Expected a lot more for Kessel if we retained salary.

Pittsburg have 3 elite offensive talents in Crosby, Malkin and Kessel now. They should have paid a price for this. Disappointed it was not one of a first rd pick, Maata or Pouiliot returning in a trade.

Kasperi Kapanen
#42 RW | 6'0", 181 lbs. | Pittsburgh
Birth Date:July 23, 1996 (18 years old)
Place of Birth:Kuopio, FIN
Shoots:R Experience:0 years
Drafted: Drafted by Pittsburgh in 2014 (1/22).

SCOUTING REPORT
Assets: Owns a very good sniper's release, so goal-scoring is his strong suit. Skates very well and knows how to free himself from coverage to get open. Has good hockey sense.
Flaws: Isn't overly big, so he needs to add more bulk in order to maximize production in the North American game. Also, he needs to continue to work on his play in the defensive zone.
Career Potential: Skilled goal-scoring winger with upside.

Scott Harrington
#6 D | 6'2", 210 lbs. | Pittsburgh
Birth Date:March 10, 1993 (22 years old)
Place of Birth:Kingston, Ont.
Shoots:L Experience:1 years
Drafted: Drafted by Pittsburgh in 2011 (2/54).
SEASON STATS

SCOUTING REPORT
Assets: Can log a lot of ice time, since he's dependable in all three zones and usually quite mistake-free. Excels in puck movement and defensive situations. Owns decent size, too.
Flaws: Isn't a natural point-producing defenseman, so points won't be easy to come by at the highest level. Isn't very physical, something that would increase his overall value as a shutdown defender.
Career Potential: Steady, big-minute defenseman with upside.

Return isn't official.

Kyper hasn't mentioned any retention. We may not retain any money

Very solid return if that's a 1st.

ROFLOL at all the expecting Maatta - a 20 year old #1D making league minimum for a 28 year old making $8M x7 years? Get real!

Is anyone shocked? $8 million a year for 7 years and lots of baggage is not a valuable commodity.

It's the ****ing media. They ****ed up Kessel's value more than anything else.

This is a bad return. We need Kapanen to turn into a top six player for it to be a decent trade.

We could have done much better. We traded a potential 50 goal scorer for cheap.

Looks like all the fans that wanted a trade for the sake of a trade got their wish.

You guys got robbed. Kapanen and Harrington aren't close to NHL ready.
